Welcome to my attempt at keeping the masses up to date

Please note: my blog is full of my thoughts, opinions (which are not always "right"), random things relating to my family and friends and the occasional Cut and Paste news.... whatever is important to me. I ramble on from time to time (that's the St. Sauveur in me) and at the end of whatever I wrote you may question what on earth I was thinking or it may not even make sense to you.....sorry....I warned you. You may not always like what you read (I do have an insane case of "Potty Mouth" which I try to hide on here, but it won't always happen) or what you see, but we all have our own opinions on things. Feel free to ask questions or leave comments. I do ask that you please leave your name so I know who I'm responding to. If you want to email me privately you may do so at imninstar@yahoo.com Thanks

Week in Review

Last weekend Jeremy and I tore down the old clapboard yuckiness that somehow managed to escape the wrath of us for the last 3 years. It was not-so-cleverly hidden by Tyvek for a while and we couldn't take it anymore. So "Mr. Man" went off to Home Depot and loaded up on supplies. We got all the crud down, put up new plywood and Tyvek......and that's as far as that has gotten....and, like a dummy, I decided I had had enough of looking at the ugly 60's wallpaper in the spare room so I starting pulling that garbage off the wall.....um, yeah, wallpaper + 40 years = not a fun or easy task in removing....I'm about 50% done after 9 days....I got my garden in...that's the one project that has been completed... minus the fence......the main reason behind the delay in finishing (besides that I tend to try to do 18 things at once.... Gram's home from the nursing home for 2 weeks, so I've been taking care of her a lot, I take care of 3 kids besides my own and we've been doing a ton of projects at Ron and Sue's house. I'm also trying to pull together a fundraiser for Shriner's Hospital in Springfield.......And....Ron and Sue bought a backhow for our (x4) tractor yesterday. Jeremy and Ron where like 2 little boys with a wad of cash in the toy store. They were looking for anythng to dig. They dug holes just to fill them back in again. What a riot. Once the newness wore off a bit, Jeremy had me dig up a root that had cost us several sets of lawn mower blades. I actually managed to do it without killing myself or breaking anything. Ashtyn had some fun on it too (while it was off of cource). And little miss Taylor now has 5 teeth! Why can't there be like 48 hours in a day?

"Chaos" turned the big 3 today!!!

My day started off with a "Good morning Mommy" and then a great big smile followed by a very puzzled look as I said "Happy Birthday". I asked Ashtyn what she was looking for and she asked me where everyone was. "What are you talking about?" "Where is everyone for my birthday? and cake? where's my cake?" As I explained to her that her party was not until Saturday, she gave me this look like: "why the hell did you say happy birthday to me today if no one is coming until Saturday?!" This is why, I remembered, that last year we only celebrated her birthday at her party, not on her actual birthday. One good thing that happened today though, I managed to get her to cooperate and let me take pics of her. I took 113!! I might not get this chance again.

It wasn't a super exciting day for Ashtyn. We started the day by stacking 2 cords of wood, planting grass and opening up the in-laws' pool. Followed by rain. But we finished the day off with a whipped cream fight inside (my mil's house.....someone's head would roll if it were in my house), ice cream "cake" and a bubble bath.

I can't imagine that my "baby" is 3 already!!!!! It seems like only yesterday......

This is how my day went:

I got to fold a months worth of clothing....and try like hell to find a home for everything.

This is the pile of clean laundry that was hiding from my "want to do" list for the past month or so in my basement.

Notice the folded stuff and the pile-o-clothing.... the folded stuff was my clothes, Jeremy's clothes, sheets and towels..... the pile-o-clothing is Ashtyn and Taylor's stuff. And keep in mind: 1)this is just what they fit into at this moment, 2)this is not the clothing that is in their room, 3) or the festering pile that has consumed MY closet, 4) doesn't include the dirty clothes still in my basement, 5) there is at least this much if not more clothing in my attic that Ashtyn has grown out of and Taylor is too small for, and 6) I have an entire row of my closet that is full of brand new clothes and a bunch of outfits that were worn to a photo shoot and then handed down to me.... um...... The words "EXCESS" and "DOWNSIZE" come to mind.
