Driver in Sunapee fatal to face criminal charge

Sunapee – A 26-year-old local woman died in Thursday's crash on Harding Hill Road. Police said the driver of the car will be charged with negligent homicide.
Emily Brown of 127 Edgemont Road died at the accident scene. The car had crashed into trees.
The driver, Eric Warner, 33, also of 127 Edgemont Road, was injured in the crash. He was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of injuries police said are not believed to be life threatening.
Alcohol and speed were factors in Warner's loss of control of his 1996 Honda Accord at 3:15 a.m., according to a preliminary investigation by police.

Charges have been filed in connection with a fatal accident last week in Sunapee, N.H.
Police say Eric Warner, 33, of Sunapee, was under the influence of alcohol and speeding when he crashed into some trees on Harding Hill Road.
Emily Brown, 26, was killed.
Warner is charged with negligent homicide.

SUNAPEE -- A Sunapee man will be charged with negligent homicide following a fatal car crash at about 3:15 a.m. on Thursday.
Eric Warner, 33, was the operator of a 1996 Honda Accord that went off Harding Hill Road and crashed into some trees.
A passenger in the vehicle, Emily Brown, 26, of Sunapee, was pronounced dead at the scene. Warner was treated at the scene and airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Based on the investigation thus far, Warner will be charged with negligent homicide for the death of Brown, according to Sunapee Police who investigated. Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash, according to a press release from the Sunapee Police Department.
Sunapee Police were assisted at the scene by the Sunapee Fire & Rescue, Newport Ambulance, Sullivan County Attorney's Office and the Sate of New Hampshire Medical Examiners Office.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing by the Sunapee Police Department

I heard that she died from hypothermia not from injuries from the accident and that it took 1-1/2 hours for the ambulance to get there after the 911 call.
I have no idea what the autopsy concluded. I only posted what I could find on online newsreels. I haven't spoken or seen Debbie or Gary since the funeral service and I don't want to bug them on details involving the crash. I do appreciate the possibililty of clarified and updated info though.... I will look into it and update again as I can. Thank you
I am still being informed that Emily died on impact,and not from hypothermia. It doesn't change anything, unfortunaly she is still gone, but there is at least a little comfort in knowing she did not suffer.
It should not be, but if it had to then impact is the better way. You know how talk goes around as people try to understand and deal with hard things and information comes out in little pieces that you don't know if its right or wrong. Thanks for the update.

What a scary article. It's always good to have Vermont Car Insurance, just in case there's an accident.
