This cake is ridiculously large
It doesn't look all that big, but it took 5 boxes of mix
I know Ashtyn is in love with the frosting......I just hope the cake itself tastes good.....and it makes it 'til tomorrow

My little Mayhem is 1 today.....at 8:08am. 365 days ago she hurt me in more places and ways than I ever thought imaginable (and yes, this was my second delivery) She has made up for that pain and suffering a million times over by being an awesome, happy healthy and perfect little angel. And because of her I'm able to meet people I never would have met and do things I never would have done if it weren't for her. Thanks for the trip to Holland. I love you Scooter. Happy first birthday baby girl!
Anyone I forgot in my mass emailing....the party's Saturday at 2 at our house.

I've been kid free for 48 hours and 6 minutes.....I'm still having withdrawals.....I want my babies back.... I've been keeping busy though. I went to my cousins awesome wedding yesterday. She was absolutely gorgeous (never a question of that) We rode our motorcycles there (which we never get to do anymore since having little miss Taylor) and after we left the wedding, Jeremy decided to ride up to Lebanon....once there I suggested we "look" at new cameras.......we looked alright. I FINALLY GOT A NEW CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! I can finally return the one I've been borrowing from my in laws and enjoy the newness of my awesome Canon!!!!! YAY!!!!!! He almost let me get a Rebel but I talked him out of that (for now). I love it when we go "look" at something I want.....when we "look" at something he wants I get stuck with another $500 a month payment....anyway, that's the short of my weekend so far and now I'm off to set up for our 10 year reunion festivities....

I finally managed to find Dee (Laurie's Mom) today so I could snag some fliers for this wonderful event they host every year so I can finally share the info.
Laurie Kathryn Hassett died on July 4th, 2006. She was 3 years old. News travels fast around here and I learned about it within minutes of it happening and I just about had a break down when I heard the news. Ashtyn was 2 months and some days old and I was still very post pardom crazy. Just hearing that someone lost their baby ripped me in two. I didn't even know Dee then, and I never met her beautiful little girl, but just knowing that a mother lost her child, it was more than I could take. It has been three years and I still get teary when I think of their loss. On a slightly more positive side, Laurie helped me realize my "loss" was not a loss at all and the little picture I have of her on my fridge reminds me everyday to love and cherish every second with my girls, even the very very bad seconds. Now, every year, the Hassett's host a Butterfly Dance in memory of their precious little girl. And now that I've shared a little piece of the story, and why I feel so compelled to share this with everyone, here's the flier and info:
(Click the pic for a larger view)
Patch Park in Charlestown, NH (I have linked the map to Charlestown Ambulance because even though it shows Patch Park on the map, mapquest doesn't think it has its own address.....its the same place)
Donations are accepted (recommended $10 for adults). Hope to see everyone there.... and kids, don't forget your wings.
8:06 am : All is fine in the world of Ashtyn.....
.......As long as I can goof off and make funny faces
Her first day went well. She had a little fit once she realized I really was gone but she forgot all about me pretty quickly and had a blast. Now she can't wait for Thursday
